| Components Engine allows to publish spare
parts catalogs on CD-ROM, DVD or file; consulting catalogs
generated with this method is known as “off-line
consultation”. The off-line consultation of catalogs created with
Components Engine is accomplished through the Components Engine
Viewer *, a free software that enables the viewing,
printing of spares catalogs and placing orders.
The Viewer’s task is to open the .CEF
(Components Engine
File) catalog files and to enable to consult, search for,
and order spare parts.
The Viewer has functions that allow to: - Send clear and precise orders
both via email and via fax, or print them on paper.
- Attach photos and documents to every spare part.
- Perform searches by
product serial number and name.
- Display the spare part in detail (using the
zoom feature ) to determine its unique characteristics.
- Search for spare parts by part number,
description, price, etc.
- Print out the product specific list of spare parts in a correctly formatted configuration.
